Our 5 Practices
Our mission at COS is to connect people to the God who desperately loves all so that we can experience life as disciples in Christian community.
How do we experience life as disciples in Christian community?
We believe what we do (how we live) is more important than what we say (our social media, t-shirts or tattoos). There are 5 Spiritual Practices that help us grow closer to God, and as we grow closer to God they help us live life like we were created:

Welcome!
Church of the Shepherd is a place where everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts, and use them for God's glory in life-giving community. We are currently meeting both in-person and online as well as finding ways to continue serving our community.
On Sunday mornings, we have two worship services—our blended worship with our choir meets at 9:00 AM and our contemporary worship service with our praise band meets at 10:30 AM. These two in person worship services will also include our Kids’ Ministry “Shepherd Kids” for K-5th grade. We also have a traditional worship service that meets on Saturday nights at 5:00 PM.
Weekend messages will be available online as well as the Church of the Shepherd UMC app beginning at 6 pm CST on Saturdays, and available to view on-demand throughout the week. You can also join us live on Facebook on Sundays at 9:00 am for an online gathering.

Our Services
Our building is temporarily closed, but we are still worshiping online! Weekend messages will be available here and in the Church of the Shepherd UMC app beginning at 6 pm CST on Saturdays, and available to view on-demand throughout the week. You can also join us live on Facebook on Sundays at 8:40 am for a live online gathering called The Living Room. It's hosted by our pastors and is a time to connect, laugh together, and center ourselves before heading into the worship service at 9 am.
WHO WE ARE
We're a family of faith who sees God in each and every person.
We rally together around the renewal of the community we live in and work in to do our part in bringing Heaven to earth. We're continuing to serve our community and actively love our neighbors - young and old - by collecting food and essential products for a local food pantry, providing school supplies to kids, maintaining relationships with local care facilities, and more. We’re relaxed and don’t take ourselves too seriously; we learn together, have fun, and gather around the table! But at the end of the day, our heartbeat, time, attention, and resources are synchronized around making you, and others, feel loved, cared for, valued, and seen- whether it's in person or online.
