Church of the Shepherd currently is a school partner with Hollenbeck Middle School, Becky David and Fairmount Elementary Schools. As a School Partner we provide food for students in need to take home every weekend through our Backpack Buddies program. We also provide supplies for classrooms, support for teachers, and network with the counselors to provide resources for families in need. Those resources might include everything for clothing for the students, an eye exam, help with a utility bill, food box or even networking to help locate a bed and bed linens. Meeting the needs of these students and families helps keep the kids healthy, in school and learning which changes their future forever.
Here are four ways you can be a part of our school partnerships:
To go to our Give Online page. Select "School Partnerships" and add to the memo line the ministry you wish to support.
- Give to our Backpack Buddies program to help us purchase the needed food to send home each week.
- Give to our School Partnership Ministry to help support teachers and classroom needs.
- Pray for and/or write a note of encouragement for the teachers and staff to let them know how important they are and how grateful we are for their service.
