What do you think happens after you die?

You see your life flash before your eyes? Your soul floats off and you look down over your body? You become an angel or ghost or reincarnated or nothing at all? Or do you picture yourself floating up to a giant cloud in the sky where you relax with all your friends and family, and looking down at the people surrounded by flames?

Well, you are wrong. That may sound harsh, and you might even wonder how anyone can know. While we don’t know everything, the Bible is incredibly clear about some things – and some of these will challenge everything we thought we knew. 

I hope to see you this weekend as we begin a new series called "Surprised by Hope: what happens after we die?" Over the next three weeks we will talk about resurrect, heaven, hell, and the end of the world as we know it - but we'll be fine. I hope you join me for this exciting series, that is so important the early Christian writer Paul says without it, our faith is meaningless.
