Serve Where you Engage

For us, faith is a verb. We believe God transforms us and invites us to be active in changing the world. We serve based on what we’re passionate about, so we’ll work to help find where you fit so that you can serve in a way that suits you individually with any amount of time or commitment.

Spiritual Gifts Survey

Each of us is gifted by God in a unique and specific way and we encourage you to discover the unique traits that you can offer back to God. Once completed, we work to help you find a service area that will allow you to put your gifts to work. Complete the survey HERE ›

Our most recent local partnership is with Neighbor Helping Neighbor Service Coalition that serves students and families in need within the Francis Howell School District. We’re also involved in Operation Backpack which provides food to elementary students who may not get enough to eat outside of their school. Regionally and internationally we train teams to be responders in natural disasters and send teams to build schools and homes in countries experiencing extreme poverty.

Weekend Teams

From leading worship with the praise band or choir to assisting in the kitchen to helping on the audio/visual team to greeting people at the door, being a part of the weekend worship experience is always an opportunity for you to serve and meet others. There are also seasonal opportunities to serve through Fish Fry Fridays, and other special events.

Get Connected

When Church of the Shepherd joined the Neighbor Helping Neighbor Service Coalition, I couldn’t have been more excited to expand the way we serve and support our local community. Now our reach to provide resources such as food, supplies, financial and educational assistance have immediate impact to the families right here in the Francis Howell School District. It’s humbling to be a part of a church that puts their words into action through this ongoing service project.
