Stay Home

It’s very critical that we support the Center for Disease Control’s urge to practice “social distancing”— as of March 30,  (this has now been extended through April 30). This is an especially important practice as it helps limit  transmission to the most vulnerable to this disease, who include seniors, those with severe medical conditions and histories, and those with compromised immune systems. Through social distancing, we’re able to live into our Christian call to protect the most vulnerable around us.  This means staying at home as much as possible. For Church of the Shepherd, it has meant cancelling all of our ongoing Missions activities until further notice. This means that much of our mission work for the foreseeable future will need to happen online and at a distance.
THANK YOU for your willingness and desire to help! Everyone has been impacted by the issues related to COVID-19.  It is hard to wrap our heads around what now has become our new normal.  We will continue in conversation with our ministry partners and as we do so we will update pieces on this page as things unfold.  In the meantime, lean into the comfort that comes from the God who loves us and is always with us.

Blessings and prayers to each of you,

Denise Spalding
