Our August Extending the Table Food Drive Is Right Around the Corner

In preparation for kicking off our backpack program this fall, the August Extending the Table will be for the Backpack Buddies ministry.  This mission ministry helps provide weekly bags of food for those children and youth in our partner schools who might otherwise go without food over the weekends.

Help us to restock the shelves as we get ready for this year!

Our next Extending the Table Drive will happen on Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7 during our regular worship service times.

You can bring in your items and drop them in the collection bin in the entryway of the church when you enter for worship.  If you are not attending worship in person, you can drop off your items 4:30-6:00 PM on Saturday or 8:30-11:30 AM on Sunday. Thank you!

Monetary Donations
If you can't contribute to the drive with food items but are able to help with a financial donation to assist in purchasing items necessary, you can do so by donating in a number of ways.  Donations can be accepted via our church app or church website here (select Backpack Buddies from the drop down menu) or by check to Church of the Shepherd (with Backpack Buddies noted in the memo).

Special Note:  We are also collecting new or gently used children's books for our Little Free Library.
Thank you for your continued willingness and desire to love our neighbors.  Through your generosity lives have been changed and our mission partners have continued to do amazing things.  Continue to keep checking back here for ways you can serve and how you can support our ministry partners.

Blessings and prayers to each of you,

Denise Spalding
Director of Missions
