It’s that time of year. Kids across the country are heading back to school–some are in their second week of classes already! Regardless of whether the kids are already back in school or they’re preparing to return soon, they (and their parents!) are probably feeling a lot of different emotions–excitement, nervousness, fear, etc. God wants to be with us and walk with us through these types of emotions. Here are some Bible verses you can share with a student in your life to help them feel encouraged as the school year begins.
Philippians 4:13 – For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
Joshua 1:9 – This is my command- be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
1 Timothy 4:12 – Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
Isaiah 41:10 – Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Psalm 20:4 – May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.
Psalm 119: 9-10 – How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word. I have tried hard to find you- don’t let me wander from your commands.
